Not for Profit

Not for Profit
Bunsen: Good day and welcome to Not for Profit, where we feature the latest initiatives from our most outstanding community members. I'm your host, Clive Bunsen. Rick Jasper is the director of FUTURES, a highly effective development center for street people.

Jasper: That's right, Clive. We are able to serve more clients by providing long term solutions for them. It reduces our visits to one per client. (Enter a street person.) What do you want?

Street Person: Can I use the washroom?

Jasper: What do you think this is? A truck stop? Beat it! (Exit street person.)

Bunsen: That wasn't very nice.

Jasper: He just wanted a place to shoot up. But we offer real futures to those who want to turn their lives around in one of our training programs. Our clients receive instruction in everything from bomb deactivation to space exploration.

Bunsen: What is your most successful program?

Jasper: Probably the medical research program. When I send clients there, I don't have to worry about them coming back.

Bunsen: Yes, it all appears on the up and up except for one thing. You charged me fifty cents more than the Girl Guides for these chocolate covered almonds. Are you sure this place is not-for-profit?

Jasper: Of course! Our profits all go to charity.

Bunsen: Which one?

Jasper: Us.
