People who stole my work or played a role in the crimes against me include: The Crystalids, Taylor Swift, The Rolling Stones, Oasis, the band that stole my song 'Virtue', Coldplay, George Carlin, Jay Leno, Ellen Degeneres, Jimmy Kimmel, Conan O'Brien, Saturday Night Live, The Simpsons, Family Guy, Jon Stewart, Dateline NBC, FOX News, CBC's David Frum, George W. Bush, Jonathan Torrens, Clint Eastwood, Gene Hackman, Madonna, and Leonard Cohen. With this many high profile offenders, I'm sure there are many others I'm leaving out. A lot of wealthy people in this list. Some of them are billionaires. But they weren't happy with their fabulous wealth when an unemployed forklift operator's music and comedy became popular on the internet. A lot of idols in this list. Some of them have been admired for decades. But I guess they were insecure about their talent if they thought they needed my songs or my blogs to sustain their careers. Geez, it looks like being a star isn't so great after all. How long was Mick Jagger on top? Has anyone in the world enjoyed so much success as a performer? But then I posted 'Nothing but Ashes' on the internet and he had to steal it. Leonard Cohen is probably one of the few men in the world past seventy who is still attractive to women. He is practically worshiped in Canada as one of the finest poets this country ever produced. But then I posted 'Buck Henry' and he had to steal it. Madonna has been enjoying her time at the top since 1985. But then I came along in 2007. So what's so great about being a star? While we're admiring them, they're so insecure that they can't even feel confident about authoring their own work. Maybe we're all much happier than they are and should be grateful for what we don't have. |
