Remember when Bill Maher of HBO was telling everyone that 'white men should not play the blues'? Isn't that an extremely racist comment? What's he trying to say? Does he think white people don't get depressed? That's insane. What is he implying? That black men shouldn't write classical symphonies either? Nonsense. He was yacking on and on about some white musician who he thought shouldn't play the blues because this white musician wrote 'beautiful ballads'. Any idea who he was talking about? And had someone recently stolen one of the white man's beautiful ballads at the time? What color was she? Anyway, I don't want his recklessness to turn into a race war here. I credit African Americans for inventing the blues, but I agree with B.B. King that the blues are not 'played' but 'felt'. Everyone has feelings.
You put this Maher together with George Carlin making everyone laugh about 'bombing brown people' and you must wonder about HBO. It's one thing to be politically incorrect and quite another to be a cold hearted racist.
